The Secret behind the meaning of life
What is the meaning of life? Ahhh…the age-old question… The answer is simple, really. The meaning of life is not limited to one. The meaning of life is two-fold: 1) there are many and multiple meanings and 2) they are individualistic to each person. But this blog isn’t about that. It’s about the SECRET behind understanding, actualizing and living everyday with intentional meaning in your life. Most people are not aware that there is a delicate balance in how you approach your life on a daily basis.
The secret is simple. It is a push-pull-release perspective that is easily understood, yet may take a lifetime to master. The push-pull-release awareness is the fine line between confident intention and humble acceptance. It is a straddle between certain expectation and gossamer hope. It is a balancing act of manifesting your reality (REALity) while understanding the ethereal (etheREAL) nature of it. It is tempered will and desire versus fragility of results.
Life is about harnessing your confident will power and moving forward with diligent intention and purpose. However, this momentum cannot be arrogant or entitled; it must be humble and extremely patient. Force does not work. Force creates an unwanted ricocheted result. Your movement, while ambitioned and intentioned, should also allow life to come at you while still moving forward. It is a delicate push-pull-release balance, the ultimate tennis match with yourself.
Knowing when to pause and/or when to completely stop is the ultimate secret. There are many moments in life where your humility will recognize that silence is the best course of action in a given moment. But the challenge is to lead with this humility instead of your ego. Many times, it is a split-second decision that has to be made—between silence and action. Many times, we make the wrong choice.
Pausing and being silent is precisely when you are allowing life to come at you, where you embrace the unknown mysteries and unique results that you hadn’t considered. These results are usually better than what you could have ever imagined. Knowing when to stop and let life lead you is just as important, perhaps more important, then venturing forward into the face of life. Understanding that delicate balance of facing life while simultaneously letting it unfold and happen on its own is the REAL secret and mystery.
There is a time and place for everything. Often times, you have to allow things to happen on their own. That is when your forward momentum should be stifled and silent. There are signals and indicators that present themselves in these specific moments, which when seen and heeded, easily serve as a guide for your correct response.
Entitled expectation is the death of hope. Your expectation must be humble and tempered. When arrogant in nature, entitled expectation only sees one path and is blind to the blatant consequences and differing results. Hope is then wasted, instead of used as fuel and inspiration. Hope must be cherished and protected by its corresponding expectation of awareness and openness to differing results and paths.
Expectations and assumptions are most often wrong. They are wrong because they are usually uninformed in nature, without the diligence and patience required to consider all perspectives, particularly differing ones. Casinos and gambling exist because of our inherent desire for hope, expectations and assumptions. They take complete advantage of and leverage our incorrect expectations to maximize their financial windfalls.
If you humble your expectation, remove all aspects of entitlement and arrogance from it, you leave yourself open, receptive and in an embracing position of fortuitous results. You leave yourself open to life and all its mysteries. After all, isn’t it refreshing to know that life will sometimes give you the answers, if you are simply open to them?
